The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt is a community event and a St. Paul Winter Carnival tradition dating back to 1952. It is a social event that brings together people from all walks of life for a common goal - to decipher the clues and find the treasure. During the many years of the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt there have been many unique and interesting stories surrounding the hunt.

The intent of this book is to give you a glimpse of the history and also to provide a quick reference to the clues and explanations from all of the treasure hunts. Everything in this book was compiled from newspaper articles from the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Dispatch and has been printed with their permission.
